A Chinese cloisonné circular dish with flat everted rim decorated with a pair of mandarin ducks standing amongst branches of lingzhi fungus and turquoise ground rockwork beneath a large lotus leaf, flower and bud on elegant dark green branches with curved leaves together with arrowheads and smaller buds on a white ground all encircled by a band of five petal, red and white scrolling flowers all on a turquoise ground.

Whampoa the deep water anchorage on the Pearl River about eight miles downstream from Canton where the East Indiamen lay at anchor during the four month trading season, the view is taken from Dane’s Island looking towards Wampoa Island with its two pagodas.

A Chinese Imperial porcelain peachbloom beehive waterpot
A Chinese Imperial porcelain blue and white Tibetan style butter stem cup, su you deng, painted with eight different lança characters above lotus flower heads and enclosed by scrolling foliage and leaves above a band of leaf shape lappets with ruyi heads and a stylised flower head at the top of the stemmed foot, all above a single rib decorated with flower heads and pendant tassels on the splayed foot, the well of the interior with a large stylised lotus flower head medallion.

A pair of Chinese Imperial porcelain coral ground fencai, famille rose deep bowls of yuzhi style, each painted with three yellow ground panels of flowering peony framed by lotus flower heads and scrolling foliage on an even coral ground, the interiors white.

A pair of Chinese porcelain blue and white openwork double walled ewers and covers, each of pear shape with upright galleried rim, the body with four panels of honeycomb openwork cash above underglaze blue and white inner walls, all between bands of stylised flowers, the neck with two blue ground panels of peony flowers and branches, the handle and spout with scattered foliage, a band of scrolls at the galleried rim repeated on the cover rim, beneath openwork flower head bud finial.
A pair of Chinese porcelain famille verte large saucer dishes each painted with two standing ladies in conversation, one holding a fan pointing up to a balcony where a seated young scholar plays a qin, his sleeping attendant seated at his side, all in a fenced garden landscape scene, one divided by a pine tree, each encircled with reserves of precious objects including tied qin, rings, scrolls, ruyi spectre, book, tied coral branch and weiqi counters and board, divided by different diaper bands.

A pair of Chinese porcelain famille verte large dishes, each with fluted bodies and petal shaped upright rims, painted in the centre with openwork black and aubergine enamelled bordered baskets of flowers with peony, chrysanthemum, lotus, camellia, daisy and prunus amongst other buds and leaves encircled by a border with precious object reserves on different diaper grounds, the border with twelve lappet shaped panels of different flowers each representing a month, including chrysanthemum, lotus, camellia, peony, prunus and aster beneath a flower head band at the rim, the underside with three flower sprays.

A pair of Chinese porcelain famille rose rococo form candlesticks with naturalistic leaf and branch handle, modelled as a flower head with pink and green leaves, supported on a large open leaf with red berries all on an integral square base moulded with gilt scrolls on a blue ground with iron-red edges and again on an integral flat plinth, the unglazed base with recessed square.
